This isn't news as such, but I think it's cool.  There is a Tracey Street in Detroit, and here's a picture of the street sign.

Tracey will be joining several other stars including Dustin Hoffman, Sigourney Weaver and Stanley Tucci in providing voices for The Tale Of Despereaux, an animated movie due out for the holidays in 2008. (Sept. 23 2006)

Boxofficeprophets.com is reporting that I Could Never Be Your Woman will now be released in 2007.   I hope they are mistaken.  (Aug. 4 2006)  They weren't. (Sept. 22 2006)

Boxofficemojo.com is reporting that I Could Never Be Your Woman will now be released on September 8. (May 21 2006)

Upcomingmovies.com reports that I Could Never Be Your Woman is slated for release July 28.  Earlier reports were suggesting a September release. (Apr. 8 2006)

In a story picked up by several sources, the Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Tracey will join Michelle Pfeiffer, Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash and Fred Willard in I Could Never Be Your Woman, which will be directed by Amy Heckerling of Clueless fame.  Tracey's role will be Mother Nature, who meddles in the love lives of the main characters.  Remember, it's not nice to fool Mother Nature.... (Aug. 13 2005)

I missed this one:  Tracey was on the Today show Friday, September 29 promoting Knit 2 Together.  I heard she also mentioned working on a new HBO project. (Sept 30 2006)

Tracey will be appearing on Martha Stewart's show Martha October 2, no doubt promoting Knit 2 Together. (Sept 24 2006)

Tracey has recently appeared in two documentary series that aired on the BBC in Britain.  The first was Dawn French's Girls Who Do Comedy, in which she appeared with several other comediennes from Britain, America and Australia.  The second was the second part of If It Ain't Stiff, a two-part documentary on the famous record label.  (Sept. 23 2006)

Due to issues with music rights, the openings and closings for the episodes on the TTO season 2 DVD set have been altered.  On Disc 1 (the only one I've viewed to date), five of the six use the first-season theme and a black screen, while the sixth uses the original visuals but a remade version of "They Don't Know." (July 3 2006)

Enough of us must have bought the first-season DVD set of TTO, because season 2 is coming out June 27, says TVShowsOnDVD.com.   This one will include audio commentary, extended takes and a photo gallery, as well as the 15 episodes of season 2.   I know what I'll be doing that day.... (Apr. 8 2006)

If you receive the Logo channel, you're in luck: Tracey will appear on V Graham Norton in the early hours of September 20 (3 AM Eastern time).  This interview originally aired in December 2003 in the UK, shortly after she'd finished shooting for A Dirty Shame. (Sept. 17 2005)  This is in regular rotation on Logo, airing every two months or so. (Apr. 8 2006)

*** Award News ***

The 2005 Emmy nominations are out, and Live And Exposed picked up three:  Tracey is up for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program; Audree Futterman-Stern is up for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Miniseries, Movie or Special; and Tammis Chandler is up for Outstanding Picture Editing for a Special.  Congratulations to all of them! (July 14 2005)  Unfortunately, none of them won. (Sept. 18 2005)

Here are some links to recent interviews promoting Knit 2 Together, one on NPR's Morning Edition and one with AOL's Book Maven. (Sept 30 2006)

Tracey was in Toronto September 30 doing two signings for Knit 2 Together.  At one of those signings, my friend and fellow webmaster Andrew Mitchell (of The Tracey Ullman "Go Home" Page) got to meet her.  It was a memorable experience, he said.  She still follows both of our websites, he reported, and she's working on a new project for HBO. (Sept 30 2006)

The book tour for Knit 2 Together begins: Tracey will be appearing at bookstores in LA and New York the last week of September for book signings.  September 26, she'll be at the Barnes & Noble on Grove Avenue in LA; September 28, the Borders in Columbus Circle in New York; September 29, the Barnes & Noble at Union Square in New York. Thanks to bigspender335 for the information. (July 31 2006)

Knit one, purl two: look for a new book from Tracey this September -- Knit 2 Together: Patterns and Stories for Serious Knitting Fun, with Mel Clark as co-author.  Here is the Amazon listing. (Apr 16 2006)

From the milestone department:  Tracey's daughter Mabel turned 20 April 2.  That seems hard to believe, but it's true. (Apr. 8 2006)
